Is COFFEE THE Next Nicotine?

Friends/ Dear Readers,

Just want to share little bit regarding a cup of coffee you take? No doubt, I also like Coffee, but I do control the intake of coffee and avoid excessive.

People really like to taste sweet rather than bitter, but we have to pay the price in the end.

How toxic is your cup of Coffee?

Caffeine, widely used mind-altering drug in the world. It works like cocaine or heroin to stimulate brain, increase your heartbeat, breathing and metabolic rate, and create addiction and yet is legal all around the World. Caffeine also known as the silent health demon in our modern lives. How well you live, and even how long you live, might rely on whether you consume or avoid this powerful drug.

What is the consequences???

Decreased Learning Ability -Caffeine may help you stay awake and be alert to study (or work), but it will not improve your performance in exam if you do not have enough rest or are exhausted from an all-nighter.

Fatigue - Many people mistakenly believe that coffee helps them get through a difficult day. In fact, regular use ( especially evening use) of caffeine may, over time, deprive the body of proper sleep, resulting in lack of energy and fatigue.

Diarrhea and Constipation - Because it is a diuretic that robs the body of fluids, it may aggravate diarrhoea, It may cause constipation for certain people as the nerves of the colon may come to tolerate the constant stimulant effect of caffeine and thus become sluggish.

Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) - One study found that women who consume at least 1 cup of a caffeine- containing beverage (such as coffee, tea or soft drinks) a day were more prone to PMS - characterised by mood swings, depression, backaches, cramps, muscle stiffness and etc..

Physical Tension and Pain - Caffeine elevates blood levels of stress hormones in our body, causing physical tension and pain. Including that literal pain in the neck.

Reduces the chance of getting pregnant and Reduce Fertility in Men.

Kidney Disease - Caffeine intake could speed up the formation of kidney cysts which can lead to the onset of end stage renal disease of kidney failure.

Sleepiness
- In a Harvard study, caffeine was found to give some people to snoozes instead of waking them up. When they quit the caffeine, all of them woke up.

Dehydration - it causes a 30% increase in urination. It often causes a need to urinate within an hour after consumption. When fluid loss greater than fluid intake, that is Dehydration.
Mild dehydration can cause light-headedness, a dry mouth, and decreased urination.
Moderate dehydration can cause sunken eyes, pale skin, and anxiety.
Severe dehydration causes a weak heartbeat and low blood pressure - and can lead to shock and death.

Osteoporosis - Large amounts of caffeine may also cause the body to lose calcium, potassium, magnesium and other vitamins and minerals. Potassium essential for a normal heart beat, fluid regulation within the cells, and muscles and nerves function. A lack of it can cause sore muscles and delayed recovery from exercise.. Calcium and Magnesium losses may impact on long- term bone health, resulting to osteoporosis (weak, brittle bones).

Insomnia and Poor Sleep Quality - Studies of the effect of caffeine on sleep have shown that one strong cup of coffee, drunk 30-60 minutes before going to sleep, can causes restlessness and difficult to fall asleep, increased body movements, a tendency to be awakened more readily by sudden noises, and a decreased quality of sleep. Heavy users may experience sleep disturbances.

Ulcers - Caffeine also stimulates the gastric secretion of acid and pepsin. Too much leads to gastrointestinal upset and further irritation of any ulcers that may already exist.

Heartburn - Caffeine also known to relax the band of muscles separating the esophagus from the stomach. This action increases the reflux of stomach acids into the esophagus in susceptible individuals and produces heartburn or "acid-reflux" - a fiery and painful sensation in the chest.

Headaches - Some people are so sensitive to caffeine that they get a headache soon after drinking their last cup.

Depression - Caffeine-sensitive subjects have also reported severe depression (an anxiety) after a dose of only 300mg of caffeine.

Fibrocystic Breast Disease - This is a condition characterised by multiple cysts that can be felt throughout the breast and usually associated with pain and tenderness. Although a benign breast disease, it may increase the risk of breast
cancer.
